Keep some time set aside this Sunday for Timesnap #3.
This is one for everyone, and promises to be one that all of you should be able to join in and enjoy.
Hell, I'll even supply you with a map of where y'all can go and shoot.
And there's be plenty of time for the shoot - we don't want to rush this one. Sill available: 2 only D70 bodies, Au$560 delivered. A couple of months ago Poon told me of a couple of D70s that were lying around in the office. These were described as being new or near new, and we sold them at a bargain price of $580.
He's just found another couple of D70 bodies, and he's describing them as new, with sealed accessories etc, but they're not in their original boxes.
Caveat Emptor: I'm told that the shutter count on one of the bodies last time was not that of a new camera. Unfortunately, I'm not able to verify the shutter count on these. That said, Poon is describing them as "new", and the price is still one that's very attractive, so it's first in, best dressed.
PM me with your interest, and then I'll tell you how we'll handle the details.Last edited by gstark on Fri Oct 26, 2007 5:51 pm, edited 1 time in total.

 Basically, yes.
But better than a theme even: we'll even give you a list of potential locations to shoot.
Hell, pot shots may even be appropriate here, but I'm hopeful that Uranus won't get a look in. g.Gary Stark

It's going to be during the day, rather than at any set time.

 Sounds very intriguing!
If this is Snapshot #3 I presume there have already been Snapshots #1 and #2.
Could you direct newcomers to a thread for these to give us an idea of how this works................
 or would that be irrelevant?

 Mea culpa!
The correct name is Timesnap. I'll fix the title in a moment.
See what happens when I rely upon memory?
To answer your questions, here is Timesnap #1 and here is Timesnap #2 This one will be a bit different, but we have a potentially very interesting pool of subjects for you to explore.g.Gary Stark

Any idea what time on Sunday morning Gary? We'll be out all day supporting the Wildlife Warriors and the last time I'll look at the computer that morning will be about 7:00am.
 Cheers

 Hmmm ....
Define "underwater" I don't think so, but there should be something conveniently close, I would expect.
 Alan,
 yes, absolutely.
 Brett,
Early Sunday is always an issue for me, and especially so if I'm spending the Saturday night at Lindy's, which is the current plan. That may mean a very late Saturday night posting of the details.g.Gary Stark

Um... I'll be below sea level, wet, the camera will be in a housing and there will be water above me. And I won't be in a submarine. gstark wrote:I don't think so, but there should be something conveniently close, I would expect.
Hmmm... the camera will be in a housing before I leave home and until after I get home.

 Gary,
I hope that the 'map' covers most of the world or at least most of Australia so as not to exclude too many forum members Steve
