Model Shoot: LaurenHey everyone, i was lucky enough to do my first studio shoot last week. Lauren was a great model to work with and really made things easy for me.

Yer, she was the runner up, and I was fortunate enough to get an hour or so in the studio while things were quiet.
Thank You Brian! MattyO

she looks great i liek the 1st one best pose angle of head in the 2nd one is better and nice rim light i think the static backgound works better than the one on the couch very well done Wendell Levi Teodoro

Nice Matt. Like them all. I agree with Wendell that the static backgrounds work better than the couch.
Jeez, before long you'll be all pasty white from being in the studio. Unlike us folks that stand trackside.... ![]() ![]() 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc

Number three is my fave of the bunch. Nice exposure, setting, model and pose. Great shot.
However I feel that your post processing skin tone softening might be just a tad aggressive especially in the last one. (Good posing technique though. Credit to your model) Steve.

Matty...
2 Love the pose, love the lighting. Wins for me Why didnt you send me this one last week. i got the rest ![]()
very nice, both of you!
like the close up, although the "hairextension" or what ever it is is a little distracting. all nice posing, perhaps throw a rug or uniform sheet/backdrop over the "casting couch" ![]()
Great images Matt and a gorgeous model. Love #1 and 3. If i were going to be picky a few images seem to have rather plasticky skin tones. I suppose that's why i like #3, seems more natural skin texture and tone.
cheers marco
lol technology's getting good these days ![]() great images, very well done! Canon EOS 40D
Canon EOS 400D 50mm 1.8 EF
the third one is the winner here! intimate and close up composition really makes you connect with her.
Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone
Come follow the rabbit hole...
thanks for the nice comments everyone. I really like that 3rd one myself. the skin smoothing i think isn't tooooo bad, im undecided on it yet. alot of magazine shots are the same way tho.
i didn't take a picture of the setup, but it was just one very big softbox in the studio. if i ever get a chance to shoot there again i'll make sure i show the setup MattyO
