V8 Supercars in DarwinHi all, back from a decent trip thought i'd share some shots from the v8s up in darwin, no crops with a little pp and a pretty good place to shoot from the spectator area, be harsh in your criticism
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() you get what you get, always learn from the mistakes
Ummm...you said to be harsh...but I can't really find a lot to be critical about in these images...great panning and the car is sharp in all of them...my only thing...and thats cause I really looked since you asked is some of the angles are a little off...almost as if they are heading uphill etc..I mean its not enough angle in some of them to look intentional...
![]() The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...

these are excellent shots mate!
only thing is, with number 1, would have liked it if the car is in the left side of the frame and you can see more of the track, where its gone and where its going to... MattyO

Good shots mate, I was wondering who was going to post some from Darwin.
1. Seems over saturated because of the abundance of reds and yellows. I know you probably haven't pumped the saturation up though, it's just that car. Good angle though, and the shot is tack sharp. 2. Great shot, perfect panning. I like the crash fence being in the shot, gives a feeling of what it's like for the spectator. I like the angle in it. 3. A classic racing shot. Good colour and saturation, image is nice and sharp also. I would be tempted to crop a bit closer if you were going to use the image for anything, the grass doesnt really add anything. The image looks sharp enough to be cropped a fair bit. Nice. 4. Excellent slow shutter panning. Really good. I like the angle also, a bit of artistry in the shot goes a long way. I hope your happy with these, because I would be. Nice shots all round. Thanks for posting. P.S. Where are the pit girls? ![]() 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc
