Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Mogo Zoo

I was fortunate enough to have a visit to Mogo Zoo late last year and got these pics.

Had difficulty shooting through wire fences.

The lion shot is fairly soft but I still like it.

Nice one of the giraffe. Recently, I received a very snotty email from Mogo Zoo regarding the images on my website. Did I not realise that the white lions were copyrighted by Peugot? Yeah, right! The emails started when I was contacted by someone who wanted to do a brochure on the Mogo area and had seen my Mogo Zoo images. I did the right thing and contacted the Zoo for their permission. That's when I got the snotty emails. No, I did not have permission etc etc... ad nauseum. I replied that I was removing the Mogo Zoo from my site forthwith which was unfortunate for them as my site was ranked #1 when folk Googled Mogo Zoo and they would lose the exposure. I did not get a reply!

Cheers
