Something a little different!Took a trip last Sunday to Woodend and Malmsbury about 75km North West of Melbourne. I decided to play around a little in Photoshop (still pretty basic sort of stuff!).
Please let me know what you think! ![]() ![]() ![]()
Thanks guys, and welcome to the forums thelastname!
Glen, the house shot most likely is crooked ![]()
Funny how we are all different (well, it appears GLen and I are similar, poor bastard)...I really like the 3rd one too...has a strange appeal indeed. Nicely done Jane.

Special Moments Photography Nikon D700, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 70-200 2.8VR, SB800 & some simple studio stuff.
the house in the 2nd pic looks crooked but i think that adds to the quirky characteristic of the image, the treatment is great too, excellent work
Great stuff Jane. Your skills behind the camera as well as away from the camera have certainly developed in leaps and bounds.
I like the house pic out of the 3. Maybe it's crooked 'cos they didn't have horizontal spirits back then? ![]() Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone
Come follow the rabbit hole...
love the house pic. has on old school feel about it. i think the lean might actually be in the house if my eyes arent deceiving me.
number 3 also really appeals to me, cant put my finger on why.
Thanks Fellas!
The house image is all done in PPing. Shot on ISO 200, I desaturated it, played around with the colour balance to get a soft sepia tone, added a little noise, sharpened, levels, curves etc (not in that order). It took me all of about 3 minutes! The effect on the bridge was mainly done with curves, once I had altered the colour. All a good exercise in learning more about Photoshop ![]()
