I remember some ad I saw a while ago which had a similar effect to the mono version. Not sure if I've overdone the black but I was really going for just having her face and outline to be shown.

Mono or colour? Not sure which version I prefer, but I thought I'd post it up anyway.

agree (wow - three agreements in a row!!!)
The black and white one (at least on this screen) is way too dark. The colour one however is very appealing. *** When getting there is half the fun! ***
the colour version is gorgeous, but too much light on the chest area, face is most import bit
and i think for this sort of image a narrow light highlighting the fact and outline of the chest would suit it to improve it the way it is just recrop larger add more black space above her head and that would give the subject more space it wilol look better
Although I like the colour version I just love the low keylight of the B&W - my only suggestion would be to remove the OOF light.

Thanks for the comments and tips everyone. I really like the mono version but I think I'm going to have to work on it a bit more to try and get the right result
![]() Sorry if it's too dark on some of the monitors, my monitor isn't calibrated so i have no idea which is the right brightness, etc. Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone
