Tognetti the ViolinistA few more shots from the Don Spencer Charity Ball of a guy named Richard Tognetti playing violin... it was an incredibly performance but I have this feeling that a lot of people just didn't get it... oh well...

All interesting shots, but #3 despite we don't see his face is by far the strongest of these. Peter

The third shot is awesome! I really like how you captured the backlighting and light rays.

Come follow the rabbit hole...
Good images of an incredible artist. I kinda like the soft green colours of the background, but the B&W shots grab more this time. No. 3 has a lot of grab, but would have been nice to sight the eyes. No.4 is good too. Can't decide! Damn the microphones. I have been cursing them for years!

Leigh,
A nice series of shots. Great to capture a master at work (and not staged!). I also like the lighting effect. Cheers Michael
I'm so envious!
Some invitations you're getting, Leigh, seeing Tognetti live up close! The "guy named Richard Tognetti" is one of the foremost Australian musicians, and head of the excellent ACO. I would have loved to be there, probably would have forgotten to take pictures... Some exquisite images, btw. I'd be tempted to clone out that pink spotlight. Cheers Steffen. lust for comfort suffocates the soul
Steffen,
I have this sheer luck of knowing who no one is. Hell, it's probably sheer ignorance as opposed to luck. That said, I've always loved music photography... I love music and photography, the two go together. I've still got some more to post. ![]() Still, extraordinary musician. Never heard of him before now, but I only listen to a few solo violinists. Great stuff Leigh. As others have #3 is a corker.
