Hard to get pics of the ospreys this morning as it was very windy and cold.
As you can Mrs Osprey has still got him working hard at building the nest. I'm sure he carried half a tree up there at one stage.

Osprey collecting nest bits... (updated)Paid the ospreys another visit this morning. Got there a little earlier and ran into Lostdingo over by the rook pools which was good. I'm sure his pics will be much better than mine. I picked up a couple of tips, one of which is get good gloves. Brrrrr.

Nice capture Dave. Heidi is impressed. She was starting to say that it was one of my better shots of the Osprey until she saw your signature. I'd be proud of that one.
I think it could do with a little more shapening and some brightness and contrast adjustment to really make it come alive though. I had a quick play and some small adjustments really made it pop. I'll have to go down early tomorrow to see if I can better it. ![]()
Great capture

Just brilliant! To capture an Osprey in flight with nesting material, and to do it so well, is a real credit to you.
Excellent stuff ![]() Cheers Michael
Thanks all. These were taken with the 80-400 VR. VR got a workout this morning because of the wind. A Better Beamer doesn't help. It acts as a big sail....
