My 50th birthday present from my wonderful wife Margo, a P51 Mustang flight.
Many thanks to Steve Griffin for the loan of a 10.5 nikkor fisheye to take these shots.
Takeoff P51 Mustang Caboolture Airport Queensland Australia
Inverted over Bribie Island Beach looking up through the canopy down on the beach.
Bank and turn coming into a simulated ground attack run. No AAA.
Steve, I did not spew on your lens, I promise!

Photo of Doug with his mile wide grin would be a start... you'd need a fish eye to fit it all in...

looks pretty happy
Between you and Glamy it appears when you get into plane that it causes a reaction that causes you to grin from ear to ear
Glamy is going to duct tape his D2x to the prop next time for some special effects

Stop breaking the rules and fly with both hands, the P51 doesnt have any autopilot

A slightly biased report.
The next guy to fly in it was an evil Canon user (BOO HISS)
but his camera had broken down (Typical of Canon Rubbish)
I loaned him my Nikon and the Sigma 10 to 20 (Yea! Go Nikon)
He is a pilot who flys out of Maroochydore (Interesting) Not the P51 but light aircraft,he has promised to take me for a fly in exchange for the loan of the camera
So Tim You may get airborne sooner than you think PS you would fit in the P51 and you would have a ball up there.

Just checking the orientation of this shot the first one is my view relative to the aircraft
this is the actual orientation of the aircraft relative to the ground.
Earth Up earth down it's all relative

Only reason ill go airborn is because you make me
Im sure id have a ball.. but i could never afford it.. looks great tho... the passage looks dirty.. but geez.. i reckon i'd be scoping out all the mangroves and such.... Google earth wouldnt hold a candle to a flyby on a p51 mustang!!
Some more great pics!
