Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Zebra, Wildebeest & Acacia
Taken with a Pro1/R72 infrared camera on the Serengeti Plain (yes, I'm back!)
This is a "false-colour" version taking advantage of the unusual behaviour of the camera's Bayer filters in the IR spectrum.
Let me know what you think!

Welcome back Dave. I think that's a great photo, one of the places I'd love to go one day. Maybe you could crop out a little sky, but overall I really like it anyway.

That's really cool! Something about the sky though? Maybe more colour? or less? I can't decide...

Wonderful. I love it.
And a crop closer to the top of the tree might work further wonders.

I'd love to be able to see it, Dave, but this one, along with a others you have posted recently, have all had "Hot linking not supported on this site". Damn shame really, I'd love to see them.......

Woah, this I really like... The lone, struggling tree with a myriad of life below it and the IR effect really works well here... I'd be tempted to clone out the odd tree in the distant background to make the tree even more lonely...
Terrific image and creative too!

For those of you who have been unable to see my images, that may be because you're accessing this site via the old d70users.com URL. I've added that to the filters on my site so you should be OK now. If it's something else please let me know.
Thanks for the feedback everyone!

Wow! What planet is this on? I wanna go there. Very nice indeed. Strong and vibrant in all aspects. I would love to see it with a very strong B&W sky treatment as well.
You have done this before, I can tell.

Hi Dave,
A great photo and certainly impressive. I travelled Kenya many years ago and know how difficult it is just to arrive at a shot like this let alone produce one of this quality.
I was wondering whether you have any natural colour shots as well. The landscape is so amazing it would be good to see some of your full colour shots.
cheers
Phil
