Waiting for the biteJust returned from an overnight fishing session 60kms offshore from the Sunshine Coast.. . the fishing wasnt exceptional.. but got a feed and Oneputt managed to get a fish for his dinner plate tonight! .. took the camera.. but didnt take many photos.. 3 this morning, this was with the 10-20.. in extremely trying conditions.. the sun wasnt up yet, it was still 45mins away from rising, so i grabbed this shot of one of the fellas onboard the boat waiting for the fish to bite....

Lovely concept and perspective Tim I think you are right this photo lacks the necessary crispness in the silhouette to do the image justice, and I know that would have been difficult in a rocking boat in fading light.. The horizon at least needs attention
![]() cheers marco
This captures the setting and the anticipation well, the sky has some terrific color and texture.
The wonky horizon's worth straightening, wondering if some agressive sharpening using a fairly large radius might help sharpen up the silohette outline? Might need to fix up any halo's though... Would also clone out what-ever it is that's encroaching on your top left corner too... Nothing like catching you own dinner, YUM! Aka Andrew
