Greeting from new member!! (Tasmania Escape #1)

Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Some nice shots ...I like #2, #4 and #5. I think I'd prefer them without the slogan on them. It would be best to resize them so the longest side is no greater than 800 pixels (see the "How to embed an image" sticky post for size recommendations)

G'day,

Welcome to the forum :)

Your images show very strong and well thought out compositions (looks like good PP too). Having just returned from a few days in Tasmania, I enjoyed walking around the Cradle Mountain area, being such a photogenic location means no shortage of subjects...

Look forward to more of your work

Cheers.

Sorry for the size and slogan in the photos. I posted them in other web site, so I just link them into here. It would take me too long to resize, re PP, and repost them (in some where the amount of this set is around 20 photos).

The size of my photos (900*511) is actually perfect for view in IE screen which set up 1024*768 or more. They are might look too big but I can’t change them by above reason.

Thanks for yr comment. I haven’t been to Cradle Mountain in this year yet. I plan to go there in this winter to take some snow shots over there.

There are so many good places for take photo in Tasmania. Even I have been here quite long but I still can’t discover all of them.

Hi Alex

I’m quite surprise about you say “Sawasdee” to me so is mean you should understand some Thai language. Please say Sawasdee to your wife as well.

Welcome to the forum. That's an amazing set of images, but I must say the text and stripe across them really detracts from the image.

And I'd like to see them under 800px wide too.
