Met up with Finch for a quick scout around Brisbane Forest Park after work this arvo. Didn't get much time as there was a BIG storm closing in (see separate post) . Will have to get back there. Great place.

Very nice pics Mark. I've always like the kingfishers. This is another place I would like to get to if I get a chance when I'm up. I understand it's a big place. Whereabouts did you guys go within the park?

Good to see some of the shots from our get-together at Walkabout Creek Wildlife centre yesterday.

Like the close-up of Brown Tree snake and the feathers on the Top-knot pigeon are just amazingly sharp. I also agree with a few of the other posts - what happened to the Pretty-faced wallaby's eyes ?(they look evil!).

For those interested, the shots were taken at the wildlife centre at Brisbane Forest Park. This is on Waterworks Rd in the Gap, Brisbane. Its a $5 entry fee but lots of critters.

I have to admit, yes, the Brown Tree Snake was behind glass. Very cooperative too and inquisitive so made for an easy subject.

Might have a play with the kanga as the auto-red-eye reducer went a bit crazy and produced Dr Evil Kanga

Early starts and then an hour shooting in the arvo.

Often duck into New Fram Park or Botanical Gardens for 30 minutes around lunch time. Camera is always in the car, plenty of opportunity.

Taking them is the easy bit. It's all the PP'ing that takes all the time. Don't see too much tele.
