Greetings all,

First up thank you to Mr Stubbsy, It was a very well organised event and every one had a great time. The food at Leaves and Fishes was great as well (BTW Their address is definately incorrect on their website it shows 373 instead of 737 Lovedale Road)

Now for the pics

Hi Andrew,
Not sure about anyone else but I'm getting virtually none of your images showing on my connection. As if they stop loading but the status bar says it's finished loading the page.

It could be "The Superbowl Effect"... The internet has been generally slow all day for me...
Cheers, John

Love some of these shots, as MattK said the Palm shots are lovely.

The first two shots are great 1, and 2 I really like the colour and balance.

Andrew

The last two shots are excellent, but I definitely prefer the landscape version over the portrait one. What really appeals to me isn't just your great compositional choice and the lovely sharp image, but the fact there are really only two colours in the shot - green & yellow

I like the second shot as well. PS I am not interested in a debate about whether black and white are colours OK

4 is outstanding the composition and colour saturation
the whole series reminds me of a scene at Versailles or at one of the many chateau gardens in the Loire valley

Andrew - I like all of these shots - they are vibrant with colour, well framed and above all, in focus :)

Andrew,

Great shots of all above, I like the way you composed your photos, difference perspective with others during the trip + very nice colours are also to my liking. Especially the Sago palm in portrait mode.

Thanks for your sharing.

Next one, perhaps the test run at Auburn Botanic Gardens in coming Fall & Srping.
