As usual Wendell great work!
I can see that you're really utilising the 70-200VR, since I've got mine I really enjoy using it EVERY single time. Good work matey! ![]() Geoff
Special Moments Photography Nikon D700, 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 70-200 2.8VR, SB800 & some simple studio stuff.
Great stuff Wendell. That side shot with the purple lights is a bit different from the usual front on model shots which is great

Come follow the rabbit hole...
Nice shots Wendell, still of a very high standard but (only IMO) not as good as some of your other fashion show shots from last year. Still great quality stuff, thanks for sharing.
Chi, I'd prefer that these sorts of comments, even thiough I know you're making them in jest, not be made. In these days with over-zealous thought police patrolling everywhere, regardless of whether or not they're welcome or even entitled to be there, you never know what might eventually come back to bute you in the bum. g.

Hi Gary Chi was just saying that in good fun because he was there on the night, i was taking social and we were all aquainted. but I know what you mean it's the internet you have to be careful what you say, "I love Pink Dohnuts because they are pink" thanks everyone, it's weird after a lot of practice I found this show hard to shoot. I was going to use the 85 f1.4 at f4 but thought it was a bit tight at the end of the short T shaped runway. The fashion was great though it's just this is a very small selection so stay tuned for more innovative garment s in pt 2.
Whoops, guess I overstepped the line. Well the saying "I get enough exercise just pushing my luck" seems to apply to me here. For the record, neither DSLRusers nor I condone or encourage the behaviour of cyberstalking.
I'm intriqued that you seem not to need any sleep Wendell - your orig post was timed at 3am! Are there more images forthcoming? I'm looking forward to 'em. Both the fashion and the social. I'm also eagerly anticipating Tito Media'ssite to post their images from the event soon - to judge how "the pro's" shoot/approach such an event.
Here's my take on fashion model <name withdrawn: closed media event, professionally represented model, potential legal ramifications not to mention my inappropriate cyberstalking comment earlier> -
![]() Pity about the 'clutter' getting in the way... t'is a tight crop of a fairly wide shot (from 17-35). Last edited by Onyx on Fri Feb 03, 2006 8:40 pm, edited 1 time in total.
no sleep for the wicked chi,. How's your images of the night going, hope you learned a thing or two that night, shoot in manual and stuff auto modes
Excellent shot!!! Chi, is that a candid, or did you ask her to pose? can't believe you were usign manual focus. Regarding personality she is all that becuase she's a Pro Model.
