Hello, these images are some from my collection taken this morning.

I'll be honest Genista, neither does anything for me. There's far too little going on in the rocks, which make up most of the frame in both. A less-tight crop of #1 would be better (more sea), but I suspect that lens flare would ruin the pic.
 #2 looks a bit overexposed in the bottom half, but nothing grabs my attention. Sorry to be so harsh, but I thought it better to be honest!

The golden light is outstanding on the first shot, but the flare is distracting. I agree with MCWB that the second shot is slightly over exposed at the bottom. A nice pano crop will get rid of that and show the really outstaning contract and colours you have captured on the rocks. Its a really nice shot and its nicely done.
Genista while I don't mind either of these shots, and like the lighting in the first one, these wouldn't of been my pick as first shots to post.
I enjoyed viewing your shots, and I personally think you have some awesome shots but these two weren't in my top 10 list. I'd go for the swirling wave around the big rock, and some of your wave shots, and gorgeous sunrises.
Hello everyone. Thanks for your comments about my photos. It is your frank critiques that will allow me to learn. I realise that I have lots to learn about composing my shots.
Anyway, I must admit, I was more or less concentrating on exposure and learning how to take on manual, which I was doing the whole time. I also think I'm getting the hang of it. I find it really hard to pp on my monitor which is a cheap LCD. What looks good to me will look "flat" on Doug's CRT. BTW Nito, the glare on the first photo was deliberate, I did think it might be distracting, but it was left in there for the effect. The original raw version of the second photo was not over exposed at all, in fact it was just a little dark. I guess it was hard to tell on my monitor... Well, I have lots more photos to pp and practice. Once again thanks everyone. LittleB
If you'd like to borrow my Spyder2, I can lend it to you whenever you and Doug are at a minimeet. Will help no end in getting accurate colours.
