This is definitelly very interesting landscape to shoot. But I can see two problems here:
1. Funny glow around the shed. My first impresion is that you have done some editing effect to push out the subject. I am not relly sure if this works. 2. Sky. At the moment you have got very bright area quite far away from you subject. That is not good, it puts viewer attention to rather irrelevant place. Try to imagine if sky is horizontally reversal. Then you would have two advantages: a: bright part of sky give perfect background for the shed, which you propably tried to achieve by point no. 1 b. everything is placed in the right position to support your subject Sorry if I am too critique. Regards, K.Polak
The second one looks more natural, but there is still what I percieve as a visible halo around the hut. However I like both versions, they both have a great atmosphere.
that halo is better from the first one, but the orig image had the barn waay underexposed, so i had to try various methods to up the barn a tad...
its been tricky.... going back i should have bracketed or at lest took the time to get the proper exposure...i was in a hurry as i asked my dad to pull over so i could take a quick shot while everyone in the car waited ![]()
What would I give for some snow at the moment? It's hot hot hot on the north coast at present. You've presented a picture of bleakness which is very interesting. Max

Hi Dee,
THe 2nd is significantly better but I know you can do better with your PPing as the halo around the hut is still quite evident as it's already been said. Get back to work, then post! ![]() Geoff
