Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Zeeke it's only a Tokina, I was tempted to wait for a Nikon to come up on ebay, but hey for the price I paid I'm happy. I dont know how much difference there is between brands on these lens, I assume it is the same as the difference on their standard lenses, so may pay to get the Nikon ???
Why bother with Nikon when the Tokina is so good. From past experience with mirror lenses there is not a lot of difference between them. Proof in this fine photo

the donut bokeh is always produced with mirror lenses.
I have seen shots of night lights for instance taken deliberately out of focus to exploit this. have even been guilty of doing that myself on occasions. Steve
I also have a 500 mirror lens........ shooting roadways on a wet night can be interesting with a 500........or subjects with back lighting.........
