Hmmmm, I think I need to think about it... my inital reaction is I like it, but not sure why... I was expecting more of the dome, so was a little disappointed but how insignicant if felt compared to the modern architechture
I reckon simply juxtaposing old and new as equals would take the tension out of the picture. The diminished dome is still the dominant feature of the image, helped by composition, the fact that it is the only non-straight object and the fact that it is in the brightest spot of the frame. That makes the image quite dramatic.
I'd probably go a bit easier on the sharpening, it tends to flatten the image if applied too gratuitously. Nice shot. What's that tint called? Cheers Steffen.
