Kris - just for the cheeky grin this shot is a winner. It might be and idea to get a Lightsphere PJ just to throw a little fill light

Thats a funny and cheeky shot, I like it alot.
My advice would be to remove the shadow on the background, or even darken all of the background so the shadow isnt visible. This will also make the subject stand out more as her hat is almost the same colour as the background. But its a great smile she has... Good work. What does that button do....??
Thanks! I'm thinking that I've added too much USM. Maybe I will change this and download your app

Not at all Dave, thank you. Could you give me a quick overview of how you did that?

sure Kris. I took the following steps (in PSCS2):
1. Levels - went through each "colour channel" and moved the white point slider (on the right) across until I met where the histogram started, or just passed for a couple of channels. 2. Shadow/Highlight Tool - added the following settings: Shadow (1%, 50%, 30px) Highlights (2%, 50%, 30px) Color Correction (+20) 3. Curves - just made the one change (128 to 135) 4. Clone tool - used the clone tool to clone the surrounding backdrop over the shadow of the hat. This PP took me about 90 seconds....so was only a VERY quick job. Give it a try for yourself and see what you think. Playing around with some of the settings may give you a better look ?!? Dave
