Willy, Beunos Airies is known as the Paris of the southern hemisphere. Beautiful architecture and wide boulevardes, if you like architetecture there is lots to shoot. About eight or nine years since I was there. I found the local women very attractive and friendly.

(Custom Officer): -Anything to declare? (Cousin Avi): - Don't go to London! "Snatch" Willy, I was in Baires before the last revolution and not sure how it is meantime. Two places I would recommend: "Signor Tango" show - impressive tango dancing and good food. Price was about 60 US bucks. First time in my life I was unable to finish steak - a half kilo chorisso steak La Boca - area you must visit - fairs, architecture, street tango dancing etc etc etc Mikhail

Hi Willy, I've just come back from Peru & Chile, so I'll give you my impression of Chile. I spent around a week in Santiago, and found the place quite fun. The things that readily come to mind include:

		- Plaza de Armas, and the Cathedral is quite cool (although it was under renovations when I was there) - just to chill and people watch for a bit. - The two 'Cerros' (ride the cable car, it gives an awesome vista of the City and the surrounding Andes mountain ranges). - The inca museum (I forget the name of it now, but its just around the corner from the Plaza). Although you don't get to shoot inside it, it does give a good history lesson on the whole region of Sth America - Try to get to the winery region (we went to the Maipo region, which produced some nice wines). Shots wise, I remember the Concha y Toro winery had spectacular scenary (grape vines with a backdrop of the andes and colonial buildings). - Valle Nevada (although the snow would prob be melted by now) and the surrounding mountain ranges. HTH
So just over a month to go. I am really looking forward to my holiday. Am still keen to hear about people's experiences who have been.

Wonderful. Its nice to have quality scenery around when you are a long way from home! Beautiful architecture and wide boulevardes also sound like they will provide plenty of opportunity to hone my urban photography and architecural skills. Thanks for the advice. Steve (Nikon D200/D700)
