Regent BowerbirdHad a great trip yesterday to a local mountain rainforest region (Lamington Plateau for those who may have been there). A friend of mine had arranged a loan of the awesome 200-400VR and here's one of my shots using that amazing hunk of glass.

Simon this is a nice looking bird, i am amazed how these birds stay still long enough to get shots of but yeh sure there is a lot to learn on this side of things as using the flash while birding. But nice pcture well framed as well.

Simon - that is one beautiful bird. If you are using CS it might be nice to see what happens if you use the highlight/shadow to see if the black(!) feathers would show more definition. BTW did you use the VR
