Good find Greg, about as useful as I would find wireless on a P&S.

		Thank You
Rove might be interested in this for the What The? segment. I can see the benefits of wireless in a studio or on the sports ground for pros but not for consumer P&S.

i think its great that nikon is leading the way, i have a feeling nikon will be coming out with some exciting products soon. i dont think wifi in a P&S is a gimick at all. who knows what ppl will be using for.

I think the real point here is that Nikon, and no doubt other manuafcturers, and moving into wi-fi. Inevitably, they will test the market with consumer cameras first.

The applications for DSLRs are probably going to be different anyway. Thin end of the wedge no doubt. Interesting stuff ahead. Greg - - - - D200 etc

Personally I see no point to wi-fi in P&S. The Nikon system is not the first in P&S - Kodak started the ball rolling

I agree 100% Greg. Considering how many P&S cams would be sold, compared to dSLR's, I would tend to think this is their platform for testing. Fix all the bugs on the P&S cams, and get it to run so even a "no-brainer" can use it, and then when it's introduced into the dSLR marketplace, it has some sort of stability/credibility, something that serious amateurs/pros would demand, if they were ever going to use it. Canon etc., if they haven't already, will watch with anticipation and will soon bring out their own cameras with this function. The evolution of technology Before long, I won't even be surprised when they announce that the latest cameras have internet access.....to upload images straight onto the web (or a gallery). If they're putting it into fridges, it makes sense it would be installed into the future cameras....IMO. Just think, we'll be able to upload our images, whilst onsite, for instant critique....then reshoot using everyone's ideas to better the photo.... You may laugh now....but just wait and see Dave
