 1 day to go

The lens is amazing - you'd need a truck just to carry it around

If anyone buys this lens, my only jealous comeback will be, that that person is obviously compensating for something

Hmmm... starting price of $7500, Buy Now price of $7500... This person is obviously quite definite about the price they want!
I'm not saying it's an unreasonable price - it just seems like a weird pricing strategy.

I think it is just a matter of not a big market...
if it is in good condition then 7500 is a decent price (RRP on maxwell's site is ~19K)

I thought I saw this guy on e&^y before. Best of luck if this is the real deal. You'd have to get a physical look at it before bidding.

MHD,
It's the most sought lens among the nature pp, with that price and in good condition, it shouldn't last there till the last day.

It's been listed there for ages. 3-4 weeks ago it was at $8,000. Now the price's been dropped.

Ok, if this is the lens from Mount somewhere in WA then I've been tracking this lens while I've been lusting for bigger/longer glass since around May/June. I think it started off around the $9-10K mark originally when I first saw it.
Heath, does that mean I'm compensating for something seeing as I've just purchased a lens in the same category?

Kipper, it is the same one from Mt Barker SA, maybe Birddy's comment explains the lack of a sale

The population of this lens is not so crowded in Australia among the nature photographers, they knew each other well thru the net or maybe getting together and shooting nature same as wildlife.
If one of this on sale, other may notice straight away and they may know what was going on with that lens or that photographer.
