Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6D ED and teleconvertors

Before we go any further, I don't own this lens. I have a question from an eBay buyer asking if a TC1.7IIE will work on this lens.

Maxwell say that it will work with the TC-201 and TC-14A, but now mention of the IIE series.

So the question is, will a TC-17IIE work on this lens?

To be honest Glen, I didn't even consider it because I didn't think anybody here would be stupid enough to even think about using this lens with this tc. So I didn't even bother wasting my time trying to search.

The TC will only work Kipper with AFS or AFI lenses unless it is modified (with a dremel) like in the link which I gave before in the stacking TC thread. Good luck in selling it.
