Silicagel Sage.

Postby Allan on Thu Oct 21, 2004 12:56 pm

Hullo all,
reminding everyone to make sure your camera bags and lens cases contain dry silicagel in this severe wet weather we're having in Eastern Aust. Even more important is to place the packets in a hot oven to dry them out, EVERY THREE MONTHS WITHOUT FAIL.
High humidity WILL eventually ruin your lens' and the quote to clean the elements makes it not worth it.
How do I know?.......don't ask!
Cheers,
Al.

I have ton of it around my workshop, they came out from the original shipping carton of all electronics and computer devices, I replace them every month in the type of weather like this week. 70% humidity
