Hi all Just ordered a C297 tripod from poon, and a KS2 ballhead (really hoping he's able to make it a kb2, but anyway)
I want to get the RRS plate for my d70, but have heard somewhere that it may not be 100% compatible.
Is this the case, and what can I do to make it work? apart from changing the QR plate.
Thanks all Last edited by Kyle on Thu Oct 12, 2006 11:51 pm, edited 2 times in total.

As far as I know the AS plates on the Benro equipment fits the RRS perfectly. Nikon F80D, FM2nRRS BH-55, 055XPROB

the RRS fits AFTER you remove the anti slip pin from the benro head (requires a screwdriver )

Hmm, the rrs clamps arent that much more expensive on top of the plate.
I'll remove the pin for now, and next pay ill buy an rrs clamp Should have just bit the bullet and bought the BH55

I'm in a similar position, except I'd like a Canon 30D L plate. Want to split postage?

I'm thinking Poon should find someone who makes a cheap clone of these things and start selling them. Or even an expensive clone But anyway, PM me when you're ready to go and we'll sort something out. I'd be happy to do the order if I can get half the cost up front and the rest when you get your L plate.

Just for the editfication of the spectators, I ordered on Friday (ish), they billed my card on Monday and I got the brackets today (Tuesday). I'm happy. Poor, but happy
