What can I use it for if I can't mount it on the Nikon Dslr?
30/1.2 but it seems to be smaller or same size of the 50mm

I should have known, if you haven't got it, it's not worth having.

Perhaps, it was designed for use in medical or some other machine to do some very tiny macro works.

Dont quote me but it looks like its a lens or converter (dont know the exact term) for a old inverted microscope. It allows you to attach a ordinary camera on the scope. I think, I'll take our old inverted microscope apart and find out for you guys.
