Big V,
It is always a joy to see your work - in fact it is always a joy to see the work of a dedicated specialist with a knowledge of both the subject and the necessary technique. Cheers, _______________

Hi Big V,
couldn't have said it any better then Sheetshooter. I used to do a bit of astronomy in my early years (observing, not photography), and I know that getting a photo like this is not easy, love it. thanks, radar
Thank you all for the kind words... yes astronomy photography is a real challenge due to the time factors that have to be used and the unpredictable nature of the atmosphere.. I am very happy with what can be achieved with the new digital slr's. When I first starting doing this, the camera cost 7 grand was electronically cooled and could not be operated without a computer. The chip was a whole 9mm x 7mm and it was black and white!!!. I have been working on improving the tracking accuracy of the telescope, so you will be seeing more work in the comming weeks. For the Adelaide people, it is now ready for them to hang their camera off the end and they will be able to produce their own..
