Playing with the Nikon 6T

This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Just a couple of shots whilst playing with the Nikon 6T close-up lens.... will try a little harder over the weekend...

Great shots!

I bet you are happy with that lens!!!! :D

Also, have you noticed that since those Southerners started daylight saving hours, how the seem to vacate the D70 forum an hour earlier now than they did lasy week? :D :D

They get an extra hour of day time and lose an hour of night time, but for most people night time is for relaxing, and we Queenslanders have figured that out, long ago.

Great lens and looking forward to seeing more close up shots

Now now, let's not start any state wars.
Anyway, my brother in law lives in Qld and he tells me that they need the extra hour at night so that they can catch up with the rest of Australia. :lol:

Ha... we're still here... just have an extra hour to be out and about taking photos is all... :lol:

Out of interest xerubus which lens are you attaching the 6T to ???

I attach mine to a 70-300ED but find light and stability major issues... handholding is really just not on it seems.

yes...

macro mode...
manual focus...
300mm

i like to do most of my photos without AF.... if i'm not shooting macro, I always shoot in M mode and work out the ap and shutter speed myself...

They are great xerebus, and that answers a question I had - does macro + close-up lens = happiness? Answer, quite clearly, is yes.
