Shot from the top of the stairwell at the Arc de Triomphe, Paris. Handheld, while breathing hard, after I had just climbed to the top via some 270 steps.

yes, but you need to move the origin of the crop to teh right a bit imo, the reason being to maintain that curve on the right hand side.

Processing wise, I like this desaturated slightly warm shot (possibly due to the high iso) and would even consider pushing this style even further, ie more contrast and less saturation.

Love this shot, the cropped one does work better.

I probably would've liked to see a slower shutter speed to see more motion blurring of the walking people, but not sure how difficult that handheld shot would be.

I am undecided about which is better. But I would definitely explore a contrasty monochrome conversion

Thanks. Tried a slower speed but could not get a steady shot.

Balanced up the crop, but it is now not square.

How does this one look?

this crop works well. I am not currently on a calibrated screen but the black and white does look promising
