Trying to save a photo

Hi Everyone,

Last week I had a go at taking some snaps after I finished riding. Anyway I couldn't really handle the lighting conditions, really shady to really sunny in the same shot, part of the rider going unlit or really well lit. Next time I'll try some flash.

Anyway I ended up with really noisy stuff and thought I'd try and save one buy converting to black and white. What do you think?

Cheers,

Glenn

I think you've done a great job of saving it! Don't you just hate those awkard lighting conditions that you get in the bush.. *sigh*

It's a bit hard to tell at that size, but it looks like a good save. I would be inclined to run a lightening brush over the darker parts of the rider to bring out a bit more contrast.

Thanks for the comments and tips :)

I've give that a try, Steve.

Cheers

Definitely one of the best ways to deal with noise in the D70 and D200 is convert it to black and white, I think you've done a good job saving this shot.

Not only you can reduce noise, you can attempt to bring out detail too.

Just with curves in PS

Let me know if you want me to take the photo down.
