Not sure if this 'satin steel' works for this pose but I am verging on the 'yes' side. Opinions appreciated. The blue tinge is intentional.

I can honestly say: "I don't know". I like the effect and the tone, but the composition/pose doesn't grab me - the thumb from the bottom and the lock of hair almost falling on her face implies a sense of "haste" to me.

Just my simple thoughts.

Thanks Patrick, appreciate the honest feedback. Your critiques only help me improve. One thing I've learned along the way with baby photo shoots, you have to keep going and going and going...some angles work, some don't.

Geoff, I like the childs face and think you have caught it well. Maybe if you crop the right side from the mother's ear across, it throws focus back on the best bit for me, the childs face.
