Best Mates Wedding (first attempt)

Well the day finally arrived where one of my closest mates got married. I was lucky enough to be part of the bridal party, however he also asked me to do the photographic duties!!

Bloody hard!

I have now got mad respect for the real wedding photographers out there, it is one hell of a day, but that being said, it is probably one of the most rewarding feelings when you see the faces of the bride and groom when you chimp with them, no words can describe the feeling.

For my first attempt at a wedding, i have an real urge to do more and more (whether or not I have enough talent is a different story :))

So congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Sor. Ray & Karen, it was without a great honour to be a part of your day, not only photographically, but to also be part of the bridal party.

Congrats

Here are some quick pics from yesterday (massive work, to go through all the photos).

Do you like it Karen?

Nice images (I have only had a chance to look at the first 4).

My initial comments are:

1. Perhaps crop out a bit of the top and bottom - Karen (?) seems to get lost a bit in the image.
2. Very cute, although it seems a little soft (around the eyes) to me.
3. The 4th image - she looks a little freaky with her eyelid being raised up like that :)

Otherwise, great effort given your dual duties.

I just watched your slideshow - and it was excellent !!!!! some absolutely stunning photos, and beautifully put together - follows the day and gives a fabulous story....

only one gripe - personally I find all of the different fades between photos a bit annoying, but that is just me - I generally prefer a straight fade between photos - its the photos that should be the centre of attention, not seeing how many different fades you can fit into a presentation ;) LOL

Seriously though, that aside - take a bow, you did bloody well !!!!!!

Thank you very much.

It is really appreciated. I'm very happy, that other people like it along with my family and friends.

As for the transitions, yeah i'll probably have to change it, i would have preferred to have them longer too, but the song sin't that long, and i wanted those particular photos in there.

I'm definitely no cato and pade, but i would really love to get into wedding photography, as tired as i was, i just had soooo much satisfaction from the day.
