The first shot highlights a big security lapse: they made the fence mesh wide enough for people to stick their fingers through... BTW, did you see this SUV in Dubya's entourage? It makes the D3's 11fps look so 20th century...

Yes it is outside the Intercontinental, but behind the fence. Inside the fence is the restricted zone, so i was ok.

I had cops walk up and down past me a few times and an army guy come and talk to me. Strange how he just wanted to talk about footy and then he was interested in my watch. weird!

Oh and my mobile phone had reception as the US president drove past me only 2 or 3 meters away. So the idea of phone jamming was BS!

I am just stunned at how my city has been turned upside down for this conference. Politically i don't have dogmatic views either way. I'm more intrigued at how my city looks through the lens of a APEC induced vice-like grip.

I can't wait until saturday when i have a wedding in town!!!! lol

Is it true that the protester got his finger caught in the wire and had to have it released by the emergency services?
