A Quick HDR Lesson

Well with the epidemic of HDR, i thought i'd give it a quick go. This took a few minutes and was handheld so it's not very good, but you get the idea.

Wow, that looks very good for a quick and dirty. The sky and the grass are such a nice colour. Everything looks more vibrant.

You need a lens hood ;)

I notice the grass is quite soft/blurred in the final rendition, did you use any of the movement canceling options?

Yeah couldn't be bothered with the hood, i was already outside :) (and you've seen the hood on the 12-24, pretty junk).

Didn't use the movement options either, but would use a tripod for serious shots.

Hey mate.

This was done in Photomatix Pro.

I just set the cam up for bracketing of 3 shots: -2ev, 0ev, +2ev. Join them in photomatix, then select 'tone mapping' and get it how you like. Read the manual for extra help, it's got all the info. :)
