I had no idea this parade was happening until I got to the city today. But since I happened to be there, I decided to take a few shots. Taken with 85 1.8. C&C appreciated.

The last one is great and reminds me of the statue of General Sir John Monash in Melbourne.

Another nice series :D

Here I really like the third and fourth.

In the third, I really like the way you have the young girl just enjoying the "swing" and the cavalry getting ready in the background.

Critical rule of photography, have your camera with you as you never know when an occasion will present itself, you pass

thanks for sharing,

André

Kris, your B&W conversions look quite good.

All good captures. And as said last 2 are stand outs.

Cheers, Mick :) :) :)

No. 3 is great. Beautiful contrast between gentle/ happy colours surrounding the girl and the soldiers on horses.

I think all your shot have merit, but I think the first is my favorite. We had a parade in our town, and marched behind the lighthorse. You had to watch out for the "land mines" left behind by the horses.
