Hey guys

Made my way down to Sommersby Falls near Gosford on the weekend to see if any of the rain that had fallen recently was still tumbling over the falls. I thought I would share a few of the better captures. What do you think? Any suggestions for improvement?

Great shots! nice lighting too :)

Did you get your feet wet?

I remember when JohnD and I went to take shots of waterfalls, we literally were standing in the water to take the shot.

These falls are normally only a trickle but the rains of the last few months, in particular as a result of the storms that hit the Central Coast and Newcastle recently , it has transformed these falls into something magical. Your shots really show the falls at their best. Well done

Thanks for all the encouraging comments guys. It is a very pretty spot, especially after all the rain we have had.

I need to work out ways to try and do something with all my photos, not real sure on how to go about selling them. Any suggestions would be appreciated but I suppose it is a problem most people here have. I have set up a webpage so I suppose that is a start.

Greencardigan - exposures were between 6 and 30 seconds with aperture from 14 to 25

Yep my feet did get wet, so did my pants, tripod and camera, but it was worth a little discomfort, lukily I had goretex lined shoes on so although my shoes were wet my feet stayed relatively dry.

Ben,

great series of photos. #2 and #3 for me.

As to selling, you can try Red Bubble. A few members here use it. Not sure of their success.

cheers,
