Both parts have been good. I take it the students are modelling their own garments?

Thanks, Steve,

The students were actually modelling for each other (but not their own garments). Some brought their own models though.

Cheers

i thought the flash on the wall was a little hot in the 3rd and fourth shot.

could have helped getting those flashes off camera.

Thanks James,

Flash in all the photos was off-camera. Single flash though.

i like how you scoped out backsgrounds that suit the garments

apart from the issues of students modelling their own creations

there is a nice juxtaposition with the grey cold bare concrete against the warmth of the garments

and i like the pink backdrop too

do you mind me asking where it was positioned?

it looks like you got the lighitng really, really good on the models, just that foreground light really distracts me. i'm pretty picky about that stuff, though, so perhaps otehr people may not be as put off by it.

i probably would have composed the image a little differently so that you would not have to worry about the hot light... the first two shots look mint

Hey James,

It was positioned almost parallel to the wall, probably at 10 or less degree angle to it. TTL mode EV -1.

Thanks Wendell,

There was one pro model, but I forget her name. I've seen her photos in mags and papers. Here is her pic at the uni event.
