Ahoy Folks,

Something a little different for me. I had the choice of Supercars at Eastern Creek, or a 4WD club meet. I chose the later. It's still going on, but I'm home thawing out.

Thought I'd post a couple for C&C. This is something I haven't photographed before. Fast shutter speeds are okay, as the vehicles are to slow for panning anyway. Lighting was difficult as I was shooting from in the shade into either full sun, or mottled light. I think I will have it worked out a bit better tomorrow.

Anyway, enough waffle, heres the images:

Thanks for the comments guys. I was fairly happy with the results from the day, but a little annoyed as I had to use wide aperture settings due to very low light. Shallow DOF doesn't usually lend itself to well to motorsports.

Jeff, no Pit girls. The balls in your court for that one this weekend.

Great shots Alan. Number 2 is definatley a standout for me. The area on the right of the wheel arch in the corner of the door almost looks computer generated. The detail is quite surreal. I love it.

Number 3 for me here Allan, although they are all superb

Love the narrow depth of field, love the landy up to it's waist in water, it almost looks at home

They sure were keen to bo in the water out your way at the moment. It was freezing out there Friday before last.
