I was walking through the city again a couple of days ago. Thought I'd do a bit of shooting to kill some time.
I have been fairly liberal with the colors, contrast, shadows and vignetting. Is it too much?

"When I close one eye, the double vision goes" - D80, 17-55mm f/2.8 - 55mm, 1/100sec, f/2.8, ISO-200



"Right into Ambar" - D80, 17-55mm f/2.8 - 17mm, 1/160sec, f/5.6, ISO-320

W00DY - Yeah, i was a little annoyed about the sign there. Oh well, you kinda get the message.

Dan, Thanks alot, means alot coming from a photographer/PP'er of your calliber. I did about a 30-50% desat on them, heaps of contrast and shadows.
The 1st and last have -100 Vignetting and the tightest centre position setting on them. The centre one has no vignetting but some sharpening - not enough to make it especially sharp though (focus issue).

Cool Cheers.....how are you finding your 17-55mm?

I am loving it! It is a beast of a thing, which is good and bad. Bad because it is hard to hold at some angles and it has the ability to drop HARD! But it i gives you a nice little ego rub and helps get you jobs as it does insight alot of confidence in possible employers.
Performance wise, I can't fault it. It is extremely sharp, especially at f/5.6, very fast and very silent. It has given me a whole new level of confidence in my photos.
Best thing I have bought. I havent used anything else since i bought it. Best walkaround lens.

Great images Harry. Looks like hi key shots are the go these days. I quite like their edgy feel
