Nice emotive portrait from hill-tribe. Was this in a set-up village in Chiang Mai or a real village?

Alex, unfortunately I believe it was one of those setup villages - didn't have the opportunity to trek up to a proper hill tribe.

Yes, the one I was at was also a set-up one, but in Chiang Rai (further North). Great photograph!

Lovely shot. Nice tones and lighting.
Well done.
Having a second look - I thought this would have looked even better with a narrower DOF to blur out the background - as the the girl in the background looks a little out of place in this shot - just MHO.
