A different take

Yes, every second photographer has taken a photo of a piano showing a shallow DOF. I decided to play around with this and have finally got something that I'm happy with (3rd attempt). I aimed for a soft feel with the reflection in clearer focus.

Very nicely done.

Different, and well executed.

Until she sees me play. It sounds alright but I play as if I'm typing on a keyboard, no nicely rounded fingers.

Thanks for the replies. I think I'm going to try this one last time on Tri-X when my F601 arrives (do I have to leave the forum now after mentioning film?).

No, but they make us were special badges on any meets (I am waiting for the delivery of an FE, which will make 2 film Nikons, 4 film cameras in total, and only 2 digitals). If only I could find out where to put the film in the D200, I would be set.

Love the concept, well shot.

Might also be interesting to print the sheet music backwards, so the reflected music is the right way round (or reflect it into another mirror but that seems harder).

Good shot. At first i just assumed it was made in PS.

As said above, would be interesting if you could do it so that the sheet music was the right way around.

Very interesting and different, all the more so because I am a pianist but I don't read music!! Ozi
