Very nice work Wendell. My pick of the four is the third one, the Rialto Bridge..

I'm only new to photography but I absolutely love this series. I go back to look at them quite often. Out of these definately number 4 is my pick. Catching those two birds flying aswell just adds to the image.

Great work!

Out of curiousity, has anyone seen the movie the italian job? Is number 4 the same place out of the start of the movie?

Wendell,

very nice series, looks like your Mom also had a great time 8)

On the first one, I find the boxes behind her a bit distracting, love the light.

I also like the third one but I find that there is just a bit too much flash on your Mom, but that's probably just me.

Had a look at some of your galleries, you covered a lot of ground when in Italy! You have some awesome photos in there, I'll have to go back and spend some proper time looking at them.

cheers,

André

Wendell these are great
I have just been through all your Italian galleries and the light is fantastic...
I like Sydney for the warm dry weather compared to the damp that looks to fill the air in your shots from Italy.... but the light!!!
I think I could put up with the cold for a month or two :)

my fav is Milan 11.jpg the bicycles shot "Contre-jour" it just made me stop and look for a long time

Great work, Wendell! Your photos are always inspiring for a newbie like me.

Apart from what others have said already, I'd also clone out the bird flying past (just underneath the bridge) in number 3.

Wendell, in this series and the Milan gallery, you show that you have a fantastic ability to capture light in a way that just begs to be captured, but few people can.

In this series, the fourth is my favourate as you have provided so many points of interest without being distracting.

Thanks for sharing this.

Wendell your use of that Venetian light is sublime. Love the compositional makeup and the elegance and drama you have manged to intertwine in the images. Gorgeous and masterfully tackled. :)
