man how many times has this couple been married??!!

although the colours are nice i think they are too soft (especially the last one) i think 3 would look better with the grey on the left and colour on the right.

just my opinions.

Overall I like the processing and the presentation, and I'm sure the B&G will be wrapt, I do detect and I haven't calibrated my work screen yet, but a hit of greeny/yellow.. particular on the bride... could just be me.. but I'd just double check the skin tones on a calibrated monitor..

The composition in the last three, beautiful! I particular like the use of the archway in #3

#1 - Not a huge fan of the angle. Not quite sure why you went for the angle in the first place. Also I would have set the aperture wider to have more seperation between the subjects and the background.

#2 - If you have another wedding at that location, move yourself to the left a bit, meter for the waterfall and set the subjects to the right. Then use fill flash to bring out the subjects to provide some balanced lighting. Right not, the waterfall going through her head doesn't do much.

#3 - Probably the best out of this lot. I would crop the image down to just showing the circle and having it frame the subject nicely.

#4 - This is probably what should have been done for #2. There's something about the composition here. I feel that the subjects are too far off to the side of the image now. Not sure whether to look at them or the waterfall.

Did you chance the #3 to be half and half ?? (Trippy) It certainly wasn;t like that before. unless i"m going colour blind.

I have to say I find #3 a bit disturbing for a wedding photo . It feels very disjointed and suggests that they don't belong together.

For the other images the yellows seem a bit hot. Perhaps the images might be a bit stronger is it was turned down a little?

The last image gives a good idea of the wedding scene.

I swear when I typed it #3 was in colour. Right now it's a really bad idea. It's really not about how much stuff you can do in p/shop. The full colour version was much better, except needs to be cropped

I think the last could be improved with a Square Crop..

so you get a little less of the RHS, and it balances the couple and the waterfall a little better? IMO it would be worth a try and see if you like it better.

Appologies if i have been posting to many images of late........i didnt mean to "hog" the limelight ....

That might help, but the fundamental problem is that the couple are on the left hand side of the frame ... facing further left, and thus facing out of the frame, and away from the waterfall.

They really need to be facing the other way completely - pointing towards the right - or else placed on the rh side of the frame, so that in effect they are sort of looking towards the waterfall.

Dan, take my comments with a grain of salt, but I have to be honest and say this is the weakest series from this wedding I have seen:

1. The first looks oversaturated (could be a monitor issue) and the angle doesn't seem to add anything. I find I am distracted by the foreground leaves more than the couple.

2. I agree with what Wayne said here, and I think the PP looks a little too unnatural.

3. The B&W/Colour split I think ruins this - I didn't see the full colour version, but, firstly, the split makes it look like the marriage is doomed to split, and secondly, I can't see what it is trying to say about the photo?

4. Although Gary has already said it, when I first looked at this one, I thought it was unbalanced as they were to the left and facing left.

I have seen your other photos which I believe are much better than these, but I guess criticism can only lead to improvements, right?

And, I didn't mean to appear too harsh if that is how my comments came across.

Wow. Talk about overdoing colours in PP.

The second one is probably the best, but your colours are way too overdone honestly. Is saturation your favourite functionality in Photoshop? It seems like it in these. A day can be bright and sunny, but probably shouldn't be blindingly so.

Good compositions in the second and fourth, mind you.

The PP in the 3rd doesn't work as well as you might expect. The black & white is really leaving a lot of vibrancy and you might want to try fading / blending the colour into the black & white to make it seem faded or ink-washed into the other, otherwise it mostly seems harsh yet sloppy.
