Well I finally got out to a motorsports event with the D200 and 70-200VR with TC 1.7 attached. Here are some of the results.

I tried some new angles and new techniques.

The combination of the camera and lens takes a little to get used to, no more just swinging away as I used to with the D70 and 70-300G, there is a bit more substance and more control needed

C+C more than welcome, I can take it

These are two I think capture the essence of club level racing.

Nice shots mate. Especially like number 2.

I was tossing up for a very long time whether to get the 1.7 or 1.4x tele converter. PLease don't make me regret going for the 1.4

Brett, i love the 1st one, as you said it tells the tale of club racing. Framing grabs my eye with the cars about to enter the right hander :up:

they 'work' for sure. love the last two. #3 is my fave though...
