Great shots.

Be mindful of those on dialup though - that post is going to take a long, long time for someone on dialup to finish loading.

Maybe restrict your post to just 3 or 4 shots, or put a 'dialup warning' content in your post title.

Cheers

Justin

These are great! Shame about the weird banding caused by the fence in 10 and 11, but great effort trying to overcome it.

I read somewhere that general admission is only allowed a 300mm or less lens at the GP. Not that hard to hide a teleconverter. But then again, I'm guessing a tripod is a no-no as well, so there's not much point having anything above 300mm anyway.

Unless its a VR

Great photos! I am hoping that mine turn out as near as good as these when I go to the V8's this weekend!

Hi Methd, interesting collection with 12 looking almost like a step back in time.

Just so you know we have a 4 image limit per post, but no problem with links for more images. This is so the viewing experience is as good for as amny members as possible.

oh thanks for that, i'll limit it next time :)

@ vodka - agreed with the fencing comment, but safety comes first i guess.

There's really no need for more than 200mm... just the fence gets in the way, and those cars, they go damn quick !

I agree. :D 400mm with VR is quite hand-holdable. I couldn't have got this without it.
Probably couldn't have got that lens in... :(

you're right, they actually checked my lens and knew about the 300mm limit. far cry from the australian open tennis where the officials had no idea on what was the limit/size, was harassed the entire day.

for sure... all he checked was the number on the lens. u could even get away with a 400mm and whack a 300mm sticker/plate on it i guess :)
