I'd probably go a bit further and add some oil or non-corrosive liquid to the Smeagol to make him seem slimy or oily for that bit of realism.

Then again, he's only my precious...

guys i am looking at improving these shots and how i should take them


all i used was my 28-105 3.5-4.5 (mainly @ 105) with SB-800 and LSJPII with Inverted Dome.

I still couldn't remove the shadows.
I shot these in my book shelf which is mostly black with a blue wall.

I played with the flash settings (the gollum shots where shot in AA mode, what ever that means) and the rest are TTL (some are TTL,BL(?). I am still learning the SB-800 settings, and i don't have a light tent or the such.

I do have some of those flood lights, i have seen some people use them with some sort of DIY diffuser.
