Just a puddy tat

This was a test shot I took with an IR camera I'd just finished converting. It's taken at f/1.8 so the DOF is rather shallow (which was the plan) but at least his nose is in focus!

EOS 1D/87C, 50mm, 1/100s, f/1.8, ISO 640 (indoors lit by the glow of the window).

It was just taken as a camera test, but I liked it enough I thought I'd share...
P.S. Like most of my current work, this image hasn't touched Photoshop: it's gone from the RAW file to this JPEG entirely within Lightroom 1.0.

nothing like a good cat shot, and this is a pretty good one i think. great pose and look on the face too :)

I love my kitties too. And I like this shot! Great expression and the DOF works really really well.

Thanks folks!

His name is Pippy, and he's a grey tabby (part Chinchilla, probably discarded by a breeder: he was a "rescue" in Bendigo).
I think he looks quite nice in infrared!
