Nice mate. A bit of a different take. What length exposure? The image sure seems sharp, and doesnt appear to suffer from any noise. You use a Canon?
I only really saw the comet 'in person' the other night for the first time. Pretty cool thing to see.

We went down to the river to try to see it but that was looking too far west... then my wife thought she saw something, but it was pretty faint. Found a spot to park and only took one shot. It was 104 seconds or there abouts. Nikon D70 with the noise reduction turned on. ISO 400, and f4 with Tokina 12-24 @ 12mm.

Nice. I would be tempted to clone out the satellite track above the right straining post though.
Surprised how clean the image is from the D70. Any PP noise reduction?

No mate. Just played with contrast and colour temp and so forth but no noise reduction.
Is that what it is, a satelite? I was wondering

Satellite or shooting star.
Definetly not a aircraft, they leave dotted lines from the strobe lights.

Great work Owen - I like how the fence posts help frame the distant comet!
